October 2009 Milestones

Jack:

- has a new nighttime request; he wraps my arm up to his chest between his arms and asks me to watch him fall asleep

- tries to do hopscotch; can hop on one foot

- makes the "k" sound everytime he says a word with the "k" sound; on his own

- working on the "g" sound

- after a year and about 3 months of sleeping in a big boy bed, he is finally starting to sleep under the covers

- saw his first 3D movie; Toy Story and Toy Story 2 (double feature)

- when he washes his hands, he lathers up to his elbows

- wears a size 7 shoe

Brooke:
- loves to take her diaper off herself

- loves to give kisses all the time
- tells us when she went #2 and needs a diaper change
- when she is laying down, she folder her arms under her head
- can stack blocks
- favorite word is "ju" (for juice)
- says "meow" when asked about a cat
- can couple up 3 to 4 trains
- uses her right hand
- says "cheeeezzzeeee" when the camera comes out
- tries to buckle the top of her car seat and highchair
- loves to turn on and off light switches
- starting to learn how to take off some of her shoes
- can walk up the stairs, holding our hand, one foot per step / starting to walk up the stair holding onto the railing

- really good about holding our hands when we are out and about, and she is out of her stroller

- can climb up on our high wooden kitchen tables (Mommy's not a fan of this achievement)

- wears a size 5 shoe
