Scott took Jack to his eye appointment -- the first time I wasn't with them. Although we think the doctor is great, the wait times are outrageous. And waiting at a doctors office is a huge pet-peeve of Scott's, top that with managing two little ones on your own.... not fun.
The doctor asked if Jack's eye went out 50% of the time. And no, it doesn't, which is great because if it did, that would be a huge indicator to need eye surgery. The doctor did seem to think that Jack's vision is starting to get impaired, which can happen with intermittent extropia. But then again, it is very hard to tell with a squirmy, almost 4 y.o. So we'll go back in at the end of May and test again.
Jack has been doing great wearing his patched glasses every time he watches TV. The doctor wants him to increase the patching from 30 minutes a day to an hour -- even an hour and a half a day. Humm.... it was easy with 30 minutes; every time he watched TV, he'd put on his patched glasses. But he doesn't watch TV for an hour or an hour and a half a day, so we'll have to get creative. Maybe every meal time (ugh... just something else to deal with while trying to get him to eat!) or computer time.
