Update on Jack's Eye

We had a follow up with Jack's eye doctor today. The Dr. thinks Jack's eye is improving - going out less and better control. She does not recommend surgery and he is still too young for eye exercises, so basically status quo. She says to continue patching for an hour a day but if we can get him to wear his actual glasses, great. She says he is a little near-sighted in one eye but that is probably from the drifting. The prescription in his eye glasses is actually stronger than the near sightedness she measured. Meaning the glasses are probably too strong, which means they may make things look blurry for him. So we'll try to see if he'll wear those... he wore the patched sunglasses, so not sure if this will be much different since he is already use to wearing glasses.

We joked that we weren't sure if it is the patching that is helping or just he is getting older and his brain is pulling the eye into alignment more, but either way, we'll take it!
