5K Walk and Tball

My friend Nicole Pacini is the one who guided us toward Jack's 1st day care. She is an amazing woman with an even more amazing husband, Michael. He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer over 2.5 years ago and has beaten the odds but still has them stacked against him.

This weekend, we did a 5K walk to help fund this severely underfunded disease. Pancreatic Cancer, that has no cure, receives less than 2% of National Funding compared to all other cancers. Every year 42,000 people are diagnosed with this disease and within the first year about 39,000 people die from it.

Thank you to my friends who donated to my fundraising page. I'm unbelievably touched by those who donated and got me to double my goal amount.

This was our 2nd year doing this and it was especially moving because last year the whole Pacini family was there. This year, Nicole was home by her husband's side as he has extremely little time left.

Jack did actually walk part of the 5K, but spent most of it here.

Jack and Brooke, post walk, eating Chick-fil-a sandwich.
Jack practicing his upper and lower case letters.
At third, being coached by Daddy.
Great hit!
Rounding third, heading home.
