Brooke's 3 year old check up

I can't believe I took my baby to her 3 year old check up today! I took her to get her 3 year old pictures taken last weekend and the photographer classified her as a toddler - not baby - and it really hit home that I no longer have babies!!

Brooke's appointment went very well. She weights 27 pounds (25%) and is 37 inches tall (50%). She hits just about every 3 year old visit development check list:
-feeds self with fork and spoon
-we understand her speech 75% of the time
-can draw a line and circle
-dress self without help, including putting shirt over her head
-ascends stairs
-pedals a bike/tricycle
-kicks and catches a large ball
-names friends
-stack 8 blocks
-toilet trained during the day
-strangers understand her speech well
-plays make-believe with dolls, animals, etc.
-sorts objects by shape or color
-knows her name, gender and age
-brushes teeth without help
-will take turns and share
-knows ABCs and other rhymes

The only thing that wasn't checked off the list was: toilet trained at night time.

She had to have a vaccination shot and TB test. She screamed bloody murder the second the nurse walked in with the shots and screamed the entire time until both shots were done and I told her it was over and she could stop crying. We had a TB test done when she came home (wow - 2 years ago) but the Infectious Diseases doctor (for her fevers) wanted another test done. We go back on her actual birthday to check it. UPDATE - TB test is all clear.

We are still monitoring her umbilical hernia, heart and fevers... but all things considered, I'd say she is doing exceptionally well!
