We had a follow up appointment with Jack's ENT. It was suppose to be in January but the Dr. had to cancel and the next available was 2 months later. The good news is that Jack no longer needs to wear ear plugs when in the water. The bad news is he has fluid in both ears and both ear drums are recessed (his right is worse). Fortunately it isn't an ear infection and the Dr. feels it could be due to Jack being stuffy/congested (could be allergies). So we will be doing a nasal spray for 2 months and a sinus rinse for 3 months. Three months.... because that is how long fluid can stay in the ears. Then in June we'll do a hearing test and see the Dr. again. And if the fluid is still there, we'll need to talk of tubes again.
On a side note, when they weighted him, he was exactly 37lbs.... a whole pound (assuming all scales are similar!) up from his GI appointment a month ago.
