Last year Scott, my sister and I took the kiddos camping for the first time. Although Brooke did not like getting her hands dirty, they both had a great time. So much so that Jack has been asking to go again this summer, so we did. This time we had our friends Nicole and Christine, our niece Mia, Scott's brother, wife and two youngest kids.
It was hot - the standing in the shade, not moving yet still sweating hot. But we still had tons of fun on the playground, playing horseshoes (which Jack kept calling Boomerang), walking the campsite, eating, having s'mores and watching a movie in the tent.
The great thing about the campground is that it is about 4 miles from our house, so after leaving the camp ground, we went right to our pool to cool down / clean off all the dirt!
