The kids had their 6 months dental cleaning. It was Brooke's first actual cleaning. Due to her heart condition, we had to give her an antibiotic before the cleaning (standard procedure). The prescription was called in Friday but the doctor's office didn't send it to the pharmacy that day so it was a scrabble to have them send it to the pharmacy first thing in the morning so that Scott could pick it up and give it to Brooke by 10am. But he did and all was good. The kids did great (no x-rays) with their cleanings, the staff loved having them, their teeth were clean and the kids loved the toys they got -- handcuffs for Jack and a tiara for Brooke.
After the dentist, Scott ran the kids over for Jack's hearing test. His last one was at the end of June which showed moderate hearing loss... which was a reason why we put tubes in his ears in August. After getting a good check up from the ENT last month, another hearing test was ordered to really see if the moderate hearing loss at the end of June was from the excess fluid in his ears (this is what we've been hoping/praying for) or if there is still moderate hearing loss. As it turns out.... he hearing is just about all within normal range. A few frequencies are right on the boarder but for the most part -- his hearing is good!! PHEW!! Of course, now that means when I ask him to do something and he doesn't -- it just means he is ignoring me!
