For Brooke's actual birthday, we spent the day sledding. It was our third day of sledding in Lake Tahoe and still every time she came down the hill, she said, "Lets do it again!" We started the day sledding in the morning, took a break for lunch and went back in the afternoon. And the only reason why we stopped is because we broke both the sleds we brought. It was probably the only way we were going to get her off the hill.
We celebrated her birthday dinner with a princess cake. After blowing out the #4 candle, she immediately took out the princess figurines and princess rings that were decorating the side of the cake. For the rest of the night, she tried to wear all the rings at once.
She had a wonderful time opening all her presents and was so impressed they were -- as she said, "for me?!!!" But even at age four, the big empty box was still a hit!
