Every year I love going to the boat parade. This year, I took the day off from work, picked up the kids after school and made an afternoon/evening of it. In the afternoon, we to Fashion Island to walk around the outside mall, browsing, looking at the Christmas decorations and just enjoy being with each other. Then to the in-laws for dinner with the larger family, and of course, the boat parade!

A very nice boat owner said we could sit on his boat (instead of the dock) to watch the boat parade.
