Scott and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary last week and in honor of it, we took the kids to Palm Springs for a weekend at a resort that had a kids pool, little beach area, lazy river, splash zone and two water slides. It was ideal. The kids are old enough were they can play on their own and go down the water slide on their own - although we are at the bottom of the slide, but not in the water catching them. We had moments of just sitting on the lounge chairs while the kids played in the sand and water. We even enjoyed an outdoor movie at the pool one night.
