I took the kiddos to the Irvine Fire House open house and met my cousin Nina with her kids, Mattie (3 months older than Jack) and Mila (just turned 1 year old). We had an absolutely fabulous time. They kids got to climb on fire trucks, pretend drive the back and front of a fire truck, stand in the back on a fire truck, play inside a fire car, turn on a fire hose and put out a pretend fire, ride on the back of a fire truck (sirens going and everything... and okay, Mommy really enjoyed that too!) and saw a live demonstration of the firefighters putting out a real fire. Jack was wide eyed the entire time and now is constantly playing with his geo trax fire house, fire care and wearing his fire hat.
