November 2009 Milestones

Jack:
- plays with our iTouch independently; turn it on, chooses an apps, plays it, gets back to the main screen, etc.
- mastered the "g" sound and working on the "f" sound
- wears his eye patch 30 minutes a day, about 4 days a week

- recognizes the numbers 1, 2 and 3

- learning the letters of his first name

- recognizes triangle, circle, oval, heart, star, crescent, hexagon, rectangle and square shapes

- working on fine motor skills: connecting the dots, cutting in a straight line, tracking letters

- learned how to sweet talk us (ex 1- Daddy says: lets go outside and be in the sun. Jack says: I want to sit on the couch and spend time with you! ex 2- After I hug him good-bye to leave for work, Jack says: Mommy you look pretty in your dress!)

Brooke:
- goes down slides all by herself, and tries to walk up it too
- points to the back side of her hand and says "ouch" to get a kiss
- says "down" or "all down" when I'm holding her and she wants down
- points to pictures in a book when asked where is the cat, fish, ball, shoes
- says "meow meow" for most 4 legged animal, uh-oh, uh-eh (slang for no), da (for what), re (for read), yes
- starting to say 2 words together: more juice, read book
- recognizes Mommy, Daddy, Nini and Duh in pictures
- can blow her nose
- differentiates between Mommy's eyes (or another body part) from Brooke's eyes

- started speech therapy (although her therapist says she probably doesn't need therapy)

- had her first Thanksgiving meal!
