It has officially started -- the invitation to other kids birthday parties. We've gone to our nieces' birthday parties and obviously had family birthday parties for our kiddos, but we've now entered the world of "friend birthday parties".
On Saturday, Jack and I went to Kayla's birthday party - a preschool friend of Jacks. Three hours at her house - full of running around, balloon animals popping and eating. It was nice for me to see Jack with his preschool playmates as I rarely get to see that. The other preschool Moms were there as well, which sort of brought me back to that awkward social high school stage of socializing; I don't really know these other ladies, but our kids are friends so you'd think we'd have stuff in common.
And on Sunday, Jack and Scott went to Conner's birthday party - another preschool friend. Two hours at Pump It Up, which is basically a huge bounce house but much larger and all over the place. Jack really enjoyed himself and walked away with a big red bump on his head from all the bouncing!
Jack certainly had his sugar-fill this weekend!
